Meet the experienced and friendly doctors who make Reinholt & Thallemer Eye Care Associates the leading provider of vision care products and services in Warsaw.
Dr. Mitchell Reinholt
Dr. Mitchell Reinholt was fortunate to return to Warsaw, to his hometown, in 2013 to join Reinholt & Thallemer Eye Care Associates. Reinholt eventually purchased the business in 2021.
He graduated from Warsaw Community High School in 2006 before moving to Bloomington to complete his undergraduate work at Indiana University. Reinholt then went on to attend and graduate from Indiana University School of Optometry in May 2013, where he was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honors Society.
He is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Indiana Optometric Association. Locally, he is a member of the Warsaw Breakfast Optimist Club and the Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce.
While not at the office, Dr. Reinholt spends most of his time with his family. He and his wife Lindsay have two children (Winter and Archer) and are members at Warsaw Community Church. They enjoy sports, traveling, cooking, and playing family games.
Dr. Rachel Johnson
Dr. Rachel Johnson joined Reinholt & Thallemer Eye Care Associates in 2002 and enjoys caring for patients of all ages. Her goal is to help you achieve the best vision and ocular health possible so that you can focus on what matters most.
Dr. Johnson grew up in Warsaw and graduated from Warsaw Community High School in 1989. Her undergraduate work was completed at Arizona State University and the University of Tennessee at Martin. She then graduated with honors from the University of Missouri-St. Louis School of Optometry in 1996.
From 1996 to 2002 she provided pre- and post-surgical eye care and specialty contact lens services with Corneal Consultants of Indiana/Price Vision Group.
Dr. Johnson is an active member of the American Optometric Association and Indiana Optometric Association.
She is married to Dr. Matt Johnson, also a Warsaw native, who is a chiropractor and founder of Johnson Chiropractic in 1996. They have four sons and a daughter-in-law. They are active members of Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church, where they have served in various ministries.
She enjoys running, cycling, reading, kayaking, snorkeling, and most of all spending time with family and friends.
Her prayer for you is Ephesians 1:18: “I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which God has called you.”
Dr. Bradley Basham
Dr. Bradley Basham is a South Bend, Indiana native. He completed his undergraduate studies at Indiana University, South Bend. He then attended Indiana University School of Optometry, Bloomington where he earned his Doctor of Optometry and was awarded membership in the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society.
Dr. Basham is a member of the American Optometric Association, Indiana Optometric Association, and Northeast Indiana Optometric Association. He has had the privilege to serve on optometric missions to underdeveloped areas of Mexico and Honduras and volunteers at Matthew 25 Health Clinic in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Dr. Basham enjoys the relationships with his patients and is grateful to provide care that enhances, protects and preserves the priceless gift of vision.
He is married to Teresa, the love of his life, and they have two adult children and two grandchildren. He his active at his home church, Blackhawk Ministries in Fort Wayne. In his free time, Dr. Basham enjoys time with family, travel, backpacking, fishing, skiing, cooking and reading.
Dr. Joseph Thallemer
Dr. Joseph Thallemer is a 1979 graduate of the Indiana University School of Optometry. He was residency trained at a Veterans Administration Outpatient Clinic in Los Angeles, California in conjunction with the Southern California College of Optometry.
He has practiced in Warsaw since 1980.
He has been involved in community and municipal service for many years serving on the YMCA Board of Directors and the City Council for the past 12 years.
He is married to Jill and they are the parents of four children who have all graduated from college and are currently pursuing their careers.
Dr. Thallemer is a longstanding member of the Indiana Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.
